Pipe Bookshelves

After remodeling our kitchen I had some wood shelving I salvaged from the old cabinets.

I decided to make a set of pipe shelves with them.  I planned to make them 6 ft wide and as tall as I could go.  The plan was to place guitar amps underneath the bottom shelf, hence the reason I started with a 36″ pipe on the bottom.  Below are some sketches of my design.

Since I already had the wood, all I lacked was the pipe itself.   Zoro.com seem to have the cheapest prices for pipe.  As to the quality of pipe, it seems to be fine for the shelving, not sure how much I would trust it for any other purpose.

Parts:

(4) 1″x12″x6′ ft. Shelves

(3) 36″ pipe

(3) 18″ pipe

(9) 12″ pipe

(3) 9″ pipe

(12) 7″ pipe
